Pack Meetings
Generally held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, these meetings are a great opportunity for your Scout to represent their Den proudly, to focus on BSA Traditions and Values, to celebrate achievements with their fellow Scouts, and to participate in fun activities with PCY Cub Scouts of all ages! We hope that you will plan your schedules accordingly so that you and your Scout are available for each and every one of these important meetings!
Expectations at the Pack Meetings:
Parents attend Pack Meetings with their Scout
The Scout sits with their Den and Den Leader(s) and will show respect to the Speaker(s)
During the Opening and Closing Flag Ceremonies, Scouts will do the Scout Salute, as stated below
Toys and/or Books should not with Scouts during the Pack Meeting
Scouts should be in Class A Uniforms unless otherwise instructed
Cub Scout Salute
The salute is made by joining the index and middle fingers of the right hand (holding the other fingers with the thumb) and touching the extended fingers to the cap visor or forehead. The hand is held the same as for the Cub Scout sign, except the two fingers are together.
The Cub Scout salute is used to salute the flag when in uniform and to show respect to den and pack leaders. It can be used when greeting other Cub Scouts.
The Cub Scout salute is a requirement of the Bobcat Rank.
